I wonder which King wrote this cringe-worthy line!? 😩

Got my Kindle out of retirement. Seeing if it can live alongside physical books.

Been a while since I read anything crimey but after seeing so many great reviews of this I felt the time was right to return. It's a great book. Fantastic story and characters you can believe. Initially I was worried it'd be one of those big books (500 pages) that I struggle to get through but managed this in a few days.

Wasn't going to pass up a chance to have a mooch around Europe's largest bookstore. Almost bought about a million books but had to resist. Still a great time wandering around though.

This came through from my library delivery system (aka my mum) today. It's only a slim book and super easy to read. Sat down for a few minutes to have a flick through and it's so wonderfully written. I suspect it won't last long!

Continued my tour of UK bookshops with this little gem in Cirencester. Mostly children's books but a really well kept YA and adult fiction section.

I bloody love bookshops. For years I've thought it'd be wonderful to open one. Maybe one day.

We stopped off in Sedbergh, Cumbria. It's a lovely little village with tons of bookshops. This is Westwood Books, one of the bigger ones. Over 70000 titles apparently. We could've spent all day in there!

Down in Oxford for a big shoot tomorrow. A wonderful festival for a charity that works with schools to encourage kids to write. Tomorrow will include poets and authors working with school groups talking about stories and writing. And I get to do my thing documenting it all. I always come away from these events feeling inspired and comforted that the future of literature is in safe hands.

All the other books that I've got on the go at the moment were in other rooms so while I had 10 minutes spare I grabbed the nearest book to me. Great start. Really looking forward to the rest of this. Science for us non-science types. Huzzah!

RaimeyGallant Check out the new LitsyTips hashtag we started today. Lots of gems. :) It's the first post on my page, and then if you click the hashtag itself, you can see everyone else's tips. :) 5y

Been a while since I read any Murakami so it was great to get stuck in to this book of short stories. He writes loneliness so well you almost start longing for solitude.

Whilst browsing houses for sale near us, that are WAY out of our budget, we found a place that has this pretty amazing library/reading room.

Mehso-so

Good characters and great writing but something about how the whole story resolved just left me feeling a bit meh.

Picked it up intending to just read the first chapter. Ended up charging through the whole book. Super easy read. Keeps you going back for me. Definitely leave room in your suitcase for this one.

MrBook Nice review. Belatedly, welcome to Litsy! 5y
ChrisSeddon @MrBook Thanks! Happy to be here. Though my bedside table tells me it can't take many more books! ;) 5y
