I've been on a crochet kick lately. Here's a sunflower bookmark I just found through a free pattern on YouTube. I'm going to add another leaf to it.

Made this little guy for my mom for early Mothers' Day. His name is Harold, never Harry. He'll soon have a mousy friend holding an ice cream cone.

I took a break from my horror novels to read this. It is sweet as usual. Charlie continues his mental health journey. Nick is choosing universities and what it would mean to be separated from Charlie for awhile. Nick and Charlie are both considering sex with one another. My only complaint is I wanted the graphic novel to be longer.

What are you reading today?
1. Watch the eclipse from my backyard. I have some volunteer hours at the library, including a Metroparks Takeover. I'll also be getting sushi with my fiance for our 1 year engagement anniversary.
2. Ice tea or hot tea, depending in my mood.
3. Most times in my head, unless I have a beautiful bookmark from my #LitsyLove peeps.
4. See above. This book is fun, dark, and creepy so far.
#MotivationalMonday @Cupcake12
Reading this a little out of my TBR order. It has to go back to the library soon and looks too good to pass up.
I loved so much of this book. The haunted apartment building. The homage to Rosemary's Baby. I wish it was a little more supernatural to make it perfect. However, then it wouldn't be an Unger book. I think is my favorite of her novels so far. 4.5 stars.

Another solid thriller by Coates. However, it wasn't my favorite. It seemed a little slow compared to her other books. If you like isolated locations with lots a snow and the characters being picked off one by one, this one will entertain. I did guess the killer early on, though.
3.5 stars.

Finished my first book of April. Now that I'm all healed up from the bronchitis bout, I hope to dig back into my TBR!

An entertaining whodunit. It's told partly through Lucy's point of view and through podcast transcripts. A woman must deal with a TBI as she tries to find who killed her friend while almost the whole town believes she did it. 4 stars.

Here is my April #BookSpinBingo.
BookSpin = The Dead of Winter
DoubleSpin = Murder Road
@TheAromaofBooks
I'm currently reading around five books, but this is the most active one. Lucy was found walking while having her friend Savvy's blood all over her dress. She claims she doesn't remember how it got there. Part first-person narration and part podcast transcripts, there is also a vein of dark comedy so far.
Tomorrow, I start my first shift as a library volunteer. I'm so looking forward to this.

A little bit behind on this. I plan on reading Myrder Road, The New Couple in 5B, The Warm Hands of Ghosts. I'll also try to read some buddy reads like Yellow Face and The Dry along with some sci-fi books. I'm finally feeling better, too.
@Andrew65 #MarvellousMarch
I really enjoyed the latest novel from Melissa Albert. Her descriptions of Becca and Nora are strong enough that I feel you would know them if you met on the street. There's a dual timeline, one set in the present and another from 6 months before that covers gaps in Becca's story. 4 stars.

In a couple weeks, I'm going to start volunteering at the library system here in Toledo, OH. This is one of the events we have on tap.
@GondorGirl, in case you're interested.
Somehow, I missed this. Now on my TBR.
Trying to get my read on again and more involved in #LitsyLove. I'm going into my fourth week of asthmatic bronchitis. Two batches of antibiotics and steroids, and I'm still not much better. If I'm not better in a couple days, my fiance is dragging me to the ER as my doctor's treatment doesn't seem to be helping.
One of the few books I'm managing to read with this last bout of asthmatic bronchitis. It's very good so far. Katherine Arden is becoming a must read.
I'm working on “It's OK to rest and pause.“
#ThinkPositiveBePositive
My apologies to my book groups. I've had asthmatic bronchitis for the last 3 weeks and have barely read a book this month. Hopefully, the meds will start working, and I'll be able to catch up. @alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TheSpineView @Soubhiville.
A twisty tale told partially through letters and newspaper clippings. The ending was a little disappointing for me, but still a solid novel. 4 stars.
@ReadAway2024
So excited about this! I've read all her books.
I'm putting this on here to remind me to read it. 26 indigenous horror stories.
I enjoyed this book a lot. There is a feeling of dread throughout the novel. I especially liked the video segments that were found on a special website.

I‘m loving this creepy book of two teenagers investigating their town. It‘s written as a journal with interactive video clips on a special website. Oh, the jump scare I just got from one of the videos. @Yuki_Onna, this might be perfect for your #TwinPeaksReadingChallenge.
Another fun detective story. Nancy tries to save Red Gate Farm while solving several mysteries.
