I love this book! It really helped me identify my own personal style (not fashion, or fad etc, but my unique individual style) and how to live that out in any budget, circumstance, comparison, lifestyle. It‘s dense and wordy, and is helpful if you‘re willing to put in the work in your closet.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

A fashion account that I follow on Instagram recommended this book written in 1964. It is out of print and luckily I found a copy online. #bookmail #fashion

BkClubCare Really cool!! 13mo
DivineDiana @BkClubCare I‘m sure it will be fun to read how opinions have changed since 1964! 🙂 13mo

TheBookHippie Oh how fun!! 13mo
Lunakay Some of the advise is still totally valid! The tagged novel tells the story of a woman whose life changes with that book, I liked it a lot! Lots of quotes are included and put into practice👗👒😊 13mo
DivineDiana @LeahBergen @TheBookHippie I am looking forward to it! 🙂 13mo
DivineDiana @Lunakay Thank you so much! I did not know about the other book. Stacked! 👏🏻❤️ 👗 13mo

Meanwhile the Italian version of Pride and Prejudice is going slowly, I pulled out The Narnia Chronicles. Never read them before! I am extremely glad that the first time all the kids enter Narnia there is this realistic thinking about food. I can definitely relate. I would stand in a middle of gorgeous city and I would still think "what's for dinner?".

And it's here. 😁🎉 My new sewing machine, which can do everything except maybe make coffee 😛

I'm planning some #Audiosewing 👕 for today, but first physiotherapy and groceries. 😖

Any good audiobooks that I shouldn't miss? I have one audible credit to spend.

IuliaC It's beautiful! Enjoy! 🤩 3y
rockpools Congratulations! I‘m excited to see what you make! 3y

CaroPi Nice! Can't wait to see the things you will do there. For audiobook depends much of what you like but I would say you can't never been wrong with #Sedaris if you like black humor... 3y
GingerAntics It would be AWESOME if it made coffee for you. Then you‘d NEVER have to get up!!! I can‘t believe that‘s not a thing yet. 3y
merelybookish Have fun!Tis the season to make and be merry. 🧵 3y
LeahBergen It‘s wonderful! 👏🏻 3y
Cathythoughts Very nice ✨ 3y

Deblovestoread Congrats on the new machine! I bought a new one mid October and it was a lift in spirit that I needed. Love audiosewing, I enjoyed The Pull of Stars and Florence Adler Swims Forever on audio if you like historical fiction. 3y
Freespirit Looks great...what brand is it? 3y
julesG @Freespirit Thanks, it's a small German company called Wertarbeit. 3y
tpixie Awesomeness! I just listened to and enjoyed Anxious People ( despite the name was quite enjoyable) great characters and story unfolding 3y
julesG @tpixie Thanks! 3y
tpixie @julesG 😊 3 days later! But for your NEXT audiosewing event! 3y
julesG @tpixie Don't worry. I haven't used up that credit yet. 3y
tpixie @julesG 😊😄😊 3y
Caroline2 Wow! Awesome looking sewing machine. 😎 I treated myself to a new sewing machine a few months back too. My previous one was a classic 1960s one, looked charming but weighed a ton so I couldn‘t move it!!! 😆 3y
julesG @Caroline2 Those old machines were made from one piece of iron, it seems. 3y
Caroline2 Definitely! 😆 3y

I don‘t consider myself a follower of fashion, so this book contained a lot of advice I found helpful.I appreciated the author‘s guidance on how to create your own style profile regardless of what‘s in season at the moment or what type of body you have. There are several flowcharts included in the book which did not display correctly in my kindle, so I switched to the print copy which I definitely recommend. (I hate that sticker on the cover!)

Apostcardlife I wonder if Goo Be Gone will work okay on those? Maybe super little on a very slightly damp cloth? 🤔🤷‍♀️ 3y

@OrangeMooseReads Very practical, but she is a proponent of undergarments that suck it all in. Even so, that glub has got to go somewhere doesn't it?!! It is sneaky and will pop out when you least expect it, or roll down over the muffin ridges....I have spanx (more like beats into submission) but after an hour it becomes intolerable 😂😂 😂

Velvetfur I tried something like that once and it felt like it was going to set off my IBS! 5y
Susanita I wonder about that too. 5y
KathyWheeler I‘d rather just look fat than wear those undergarments that suck everything in. I feel like I can‘t breathe. 5y

Monica5 I think I will just have to look fat 5y
OrangeMooseReads Yeah I didn‘t get far into this one. Those undergarments are too much hassle and so ungodly uncomfortable and not good for the insides. 5y
Eggs But thanks for sending it to me with a lovely note 📝💗💗 @OrangeMooseReads (edited) 5y

I really enjoyed the step-by-step analysis of personal style and wardrobe in this book. As someone who doesn‘t really think about clothes that much, this book gave me a simple way to choose clothes with a purpose and create a personal style that works with my lifestyle and aesthetic.
