Well worth it if you like history, politics, historical true crime, Coney Island settings, overlooked history... 👍📚😀

Finally going to give the serial app a try.... And after @Merethebookgal 's post for the #underhypedbook I decided on Persuasion... It's the one Austen novel I haven't read... I'm sure I'll love it as much as the others.... :)

She's largely been erased from history & was even forgotten about in jail until "witches" were granted amnesty 2 years after her capture. It's biographical fiction about her life growing up thru old age & explores postmodernism, racism, & religious bigotry in America. ??

I was excited to read Sloane Crosley's novel debut since I have really loved all her essay collections. I grabbed it up right away, but I didn't see too much media about it. If you've read Guy deMaupassant's The Necklace, this book is for you! #augustphotochallenge #underhypedbook

This book is written in verse and tells the story of Mina and her family who were sent to an internment camp. Beautiful and powerful. #underhyped #underhypedbook #augustofpages

My pick for day 26 of #augustofpages #underhypedbook. This is my ARC I got back in 2011. It is such an amazing magical book. Definitely one of my top 10 of all time. I don't remember much hype about it when it came out, but maybe I missed it?
