Pickpick

I unfortunately had not heard of this children‘s classic until it was a pick for #LMPBC #Round7 #GroupC. I am so glad I went on this rabbit adventure full of mischief and danger. I never knew rabbit life could be so perilous! It does take some getting used to the foliage descriptions, but they made sense considering the world the reader is immersed in. I think I may get a copy for myself, perhaps on audio. This has been mailed! 4⭐️s!

JaclynW I've never looked at rabbits the same way after reading this book.😳 4y
KT1432 @JaclynW Haha yes!! I have been exposed to a completely different world of rabbits and I can‘t look at them the same! 4y
JaclynW @lele1432 When reading, I kept asking myself, "This book is for children?!" ??? 4y

KT1432 @JaclynW lol yes! I almost wrote that in this post but ran out of room. I‘m not quite so sure how this became a classic for children...aside from it being about rabbits...but it seemed more relatable to me as an adult! 🤷🏽‍♀️😂 4y
TiredLibrarian I read this years ago. Don't remember many details, but I do remember parts that were very scary, at least to my teen self! 4y
JaclynW @lele1432 Exactly! 4y
KT1432 @TiredLibrarian yep! I was unprepared for the amount of danger, suspense, and the pulse-racing parts! It‘s definitely not just a cute story about bunnies lol. 4y
TheAromaofBooks This is a book I enjoyed back in the day, so I'm looking forward to getting to it when it's my turn. However, I have to agree that it definitely does NOT seem like a children's book to me!! 4y
KT1432 @TheAromaofBooks looking forward to your review! 4y
KT1432 Gonna go ahead and use this for #Booked2020 prompt #LiveandLearn as I knew nothing about rabbits lol and #ReadingEurope2020 probably the easiest one...England.😊 @BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB 4y
KT1432 Also #PopSugarReadingChallenge #PopSugar2020 #Pop20 for invented language (edited) 4y
Librarybelle Awesome! I read this one many years ago. My hardest part deciding for the UK is which one to pick! 😂 4y
BarbaraBB It feels so satisfying when a book ticks off three prompts 😀 4y
Cinfhen Definitely going to add this to my #readingClassics2020challenge xx thanks for sharing 😁🙌🏻 4y
alisiakae My father-in-law was encouraging me to read this while he was visiting (since we have a pet 🐇 ). @Cinfhen maybe an impromptu #buddyread when you get to it? 4y
KT1432 Going to use this for #jennyis30 #classics! @jenniferw88 4y
