“Ribbit“ Kids always start giggling when Piggie ribbets!

I think series books are important to have in the classroom and encourage reading. Kids fall in love with these characters and want to read more and more books about them.

Pickpick

“I'm a Frog! (An Elephant and Piggie Book)“ by Mo Willems, 2007. Picture Book. I love the Piggie and Gerald books and think they're a great series. This is very similar to other books from this series through the usage of large text, the characters jumping all over the page, and the exciting tone.

Our last minute book character day costume because I completely forgot we signed the paper saying she'd dress up for it with her selection of Gerald. Thank gawd for construction paper, safety pins, and hot glue. 😅 She likes it and that's what matters. Thankfully. Ha!

LibrarianRyan It‘s cute! 4mo
madamereadsalot1 @LibrarianRyan thanks! I keep laughing at the ears! We could only find a cat ear headband to glue them too, and my dumbass didn't think about how high up that would make em! 😆 She's perpetually surprised Gerald! 😆 4mo

David Shannon is such a simple children‘s author, and I love it! My students love reading No David, and whenever i introduce Alice the Fairy, they want to read it again... and again.

Alice is a temporary fairy with a bit of magic in her. Very fun pictures and perfect for PreK through first grade!

madamereadsalot1 We adore this book! I bought it for my own Alice when she was a little bitty and we read it so much the pages are taped up and the cover is in tatters. We still read it, just very gently. 6mo

This was one of the few Robert Munsch books that I had not read prior to #BBRC, but I enjoyed it as much as his others. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3.5 🌟
These books are growing on my but I still find Pinkalicious to be a whinny brat (at least to her parents). Goldilicious is her imaginary unicorn who she has grand adventures with. I can start to see where this series would sprout continuations and a tv series. Thank goodness I don‘t have to watch it.
