pickSuch a cute book. My son picked this out to have me read to him today. Sweet Penelope wants so much to be a librarian. She just has one little BIG problem. A good book to show children (and adults, hopefully) that sometimes we need to get creative to make our dreams and talents match.

Why soft pick? Not a fan of the illustrations and of the writing style.
I finished five books over Memorial Day weekend (all but one I had already started and was in various stages of completion before Friday). But #JumpStartSummer gave me an excuse to buckle down and finish them! All of these were good in different ways. And I still have a big stack of books to get me though early summer!

Having brunch at a Ukrainian bakery with my #readathon buddy before we get down to reading. I finally lost enough weight to wear my book leggings again! I was listening to the tagged book on my drive over.
pickIs it just me or are romances super long now?
This book is about 2 people helping each other get over the person they‘ve loved for a long time. Fake dating which quickly turns to real dating. Marcela is a librarian, so a lot of great book talk. Marcela also has abandonment issues because he dad left her mom when she was a kid and that affects all her relationships. So she has a lot of stuff to figure out.
