Look what I‘m reading, @Centique . You were the last person to post about this book … 8 years ago. 😆
A young girl discovers that she can visit the past while riding her pony, Candy (aka Candlelight). I can‘t resist a vintage time-slip story!

I recently finished The Secret Lake by Karen Inglis 🌀. It's an exciting time-travelling adventure, perfect for younger readers 💫 I give it 4 ⭐

Here you go @merelybookish this is the very colourful childrens author Margaret Mahy who wrote over 100 picture books as well as a couple of dozen novels. She was also a librarian and dedicated to growing young readers. She would be the most well know author in NZ because everyone (around my age at least) grew up reading her books.

3✨ As the last book in the series I don‘t want to say much about what is happening in this book. As a series it was funny, each book featured one of the agents and it all wrapped up nicely by the end of this book. #SeriesLove #TeamFlurken #HauntedShelves

Another gorgeous kid‘s book to add to my collection and a cute story about coming out of your shell and reaching your full potential.

I don't think this would be interesting or challenging enough for a middle-grader. It was OK, but the language, tone, and pace were very basic.

A light-hearted mystery reminiscent of The Lost Library. Rami is the only one who can see Blue, the ghost of a young girl who looks eerily similar to the subject of the stolen painting. He teams up with Veda to discover the thief and the two end up on an adventure that will have long-lasting effects on their community. A fun almost-ghost story about the beauty of friendship and the universal need to be accepted as we are.

A light mystery. I wish Agatha, the turtle, had a bit more character. I wasn‘t fond of the narrative voice. Everything felt a bit rushed and the characters weren‘t fully developed. Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for an advance copy.
