pickThis ticked two reading challenge prompts off for me. But it was much more than that. Mailhot tells us her life in sentences that pack a punch. Their rhythm was hard to settle into, but once I did, her life story just broke me. And then did it again. She‘s just 35, but has been through way harder times than me, that‘s for sure.
