#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 18 Ch.1-5: this was an interesting start to the case. We don‘t see what the perpetrator thinks until later in the book. We see the victim‘s actions first thing. We know Reva is framed right off but how will Eve know that and prove it? I loved the banter between Peabody and Eve and the fact that Eve told Roarke what she would do if she caught him cheating 😂 I am worried they will butt heads during this case though.

Ddzmini It something to think about what would happen if cheating was involved…. I love that both Roarke and Eve described what they would do and at this point I believe they would follow through 4d
LiseWorks @Ddzmini more Eve than Roarke, I can see her do it. She is such a bad ass in a good way. Lol 4d

December 2025 Book #1

I have different editions and I am only in book 3🤦🏽‍♀️Those of you ,who have read my reaction to this series, know that I see a little strange that relationship between Eve Dallas and Roarke, I think he, in some way, try to control Eve, and she, is in someway, is vulnerable, which means for me, that there is a control there,. Anyway, thats my perception as a reader. Most people love Roarke. But I enjoy this book. ⬇️

Gissy (Cont) It seems Dallas is going to take a big step in her relationship with Roarke but then occurred this brutal murder and she prioritized her job. The story has funny scenes and dramatic ones like those with Eve and her traumatic past experience😢Even when it was interesting , I noticed some procedures unrealistic, not accurate due to conflict of interest in her participation. Did I say unrealistic? 🤔Are we seeing something like⬇ (edited) 5d
Gissy (Cont.) that, now, in some “poltical world”?🤔Never mind, back to the story. Based on some legal aspects related with my past work, it could be expected not see that involvement due to conflict of interest, there…it sounds better. Well, it has a good ending because you want to know what is going to happen in that relationship…tan..tan..tan..tan…3.5/3.8⭐️ 5d

BookSpinBingo #BookSpin #20 sequel #ISpyBingo (white title) Love this month prompts. I wish I could read more to find those prompts.

#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR #Welcome2026Readathon Started book 18 in the In Death series. So far, a friend of Roarke‘s seems to have been framed in a gruesome murder. luckily, Eve is not the type to just go by what a crime looks like - she takes every case personally and she‘ll get to the bottom of it.

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 18: Sorry for the quick turnaround on this one but January is nearly upon us and what better way to start the year than with Eve and Roarke? We‘re on to Book 18 to start off 2026 - not bad considering we‘ve taken a few brief hiatus. Thank you to those who are still reading along; if you‘d like to be removed from the main tag list please let us know.

ShananigansReads I can‘t wait to get started! Eve and Roarke are definitely on my Too Couples list. 1w
Ddzmini Faint wait to start reading this one 1w
TheAromaofBooks Yay!!! I am enjoying these SO much! 1w

#InDeathLongReadathon @StayCurious Thanks for being my co-host..
This is book 17.5 book in the series containing 2 books. It was different. A case that was never solved ends up in Eve Dallas lap years later. We see characters grow as well both in the 1st and 2nd half of the book. I enjoyed this month's book in the series very much. #Read2025 @DieAReader

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 17.5: The novels Hot Rocks and Big Jack, put together in Remember When, made a great pairing. I liked these two shorter novels. I liked the trouble from the past, then the solving and closing the case with Dallas in 2059. By far the best part was Peabody establishing her detective moves and finding her groove with looking the part. These books were worth the read.⬇️

StayCurious It was interesting how it was all resolved, the diamonds hidden but really in plain sight all along. The killer must be kicking himself for not realizing sooner. 2w
Ddzmini I really enjoyed this combination with both stories connected and when the diamonds are found in a toy truck hilarious and genius… I liked that it ended with this discovery 2w
TheAromaofBooks I enjoyed these so much! Peabody was 100% my favorite part of Big Jack - she was absolutely cracking me up. 2w

Solid police procedural thriller - set in a fictional future version of NYC. I haven‘t read anything else in this In Death universe and this is book #58 - so clearly a lot of character connection that I arguably missed not reading the others, but the author does a decent job of giving you the gist even if you‘re coming in cold. I definitely walked away enjoying Eve…and hunky Roarke.

It gave me The Closer vibes. 🥹 #AuthorAMonth
