The Golden Tower (Magisterium #5) | Cassandra Clare, Holly Black

Fitting end to the series. I may have actually enjoyed this final story more than the four that preceded it. #39-2023

Last book in the Magisterium series. Last adventure for Call and his friends. Last year for them at magic school.

You think you know the story of Snow White? Think again. Grump, an unusual dwarf fascinated with the surface world is here to set the record straight.

This was an adorable and an interesting twist on a rather classic fairy tale. Grump is a snarky & curios POV that you can‘t help but sympathize with. Snow was spunky & clever. The narrator was perfect for the tone. I really enjoyed this, but felt the epilogue was entirely unnecessary. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

LaurelChandler Hi! Could you point me out who started #FairytaleReadingChallenge? I'd like to join the fun! 2y
BookmarkTavern @LaurelChandler Hi, of course! @Charityann is the one who started this particular challenge. This is the second year. There‘s a fairy tale for each month, and there‘s more info here: https://charityrau.wordpress.com/2021/12/28/fairytale-reading-challenge-2022/ 2y
LaurelChandler @ozma.of.oz Thank you! I live for retellings and this looks wonderful. Also, love your review! 2y

Anyone else watching this series? Has anyone read the books? Just watched first episode with @TheWolfbehindTheEyes and it was great. Haven't read the books. #fantasy #booktoshow #series #time #magic #elements #power #goodagainstevil

deeannloso I‘m watching the series and loving it. Haven‘t read the books though. 2y
The_Penniless_Author I just finished reading the books a few weeks ago and loved them, but I can't stand the show. So I would say that if you're enjoying the TV series hold off on reading the books. It's too easy to fall into the trap of comparing them and getting annoyed at all the things they had to cut/change. Better if you can enjoy it on its own merits. 2y
Vansa I've read the first 4 books and then felt it was absolutely going nowhere and stopped after that! 2y
DaveGreen7777 I‘m halfway through the book series, and I love the books, although there‘s no denying the books really slooooooow down as the series goes on! 😳 I have been enjoying the show. The showrunners have made quite a few changes, but I‘ve been okay with most of what they changed. My only major gripe is I absolutely hated what they did with Perrin in the first episode (which never happened in the book and was completely unnecessary! 😒) 2y
hannah-leeloo Oh my days that really surprised me when I saw it @DaveGreen7777 was a painful scene 2y
