pickI struggled with the first half of this - too many characters and different POVs. (The character list of over 30 names almost put me off)
When all the threads began to draw together I started to enjoy it, and it turned out to be rather witty too, as you said @rmaclean4 , but it won‘t be one of my favourites on the Women‘s Prize long list.
