A continuation of the Stormlight Archives following four to five main characters with occasional short entries of other character spread out in the book. There‘s so much going on in these books that it‘s hard to summarize… yet at the same time it feels like not much has happened either??🙈 I am enjoying reading these but the books are a huge commitment both time and memory wise. Magic, sword fighting, and adventure!

This has been getting a lot of hype but when I checked the premise and saw that it was Chosen One goes to Murder School in Ancient Rome, I lost my initial enthusiasm. I decided to proceed and was glad I did because this is a complex and well executed book, suitable for a range of readers from older YA to Adult. I can see why it gets the hype it does and while I'm not on the 'this is the best book ever train' I did enjoy it a lot. Strong pick.

Mostly from Egwene, Mat and Perrin perspective, this book is the aftermath of a battle of the three growing up to the journey to Tear which I hear as Týr. Rand is in danger and his buddies aim to help him. I am really enjoying this book. I am about to crack the spine of book 4.

Chose my next read! #TheWillOfTheMany#HierarchyBook1#JamesIslington

Bookish_Viking I love James Islington! I‘m ready for him to continue in The Licanius Trilogy world. I know he has plans to expand on it. He‘s one of those authors that feels like a hidden gem, since I almost never see anyone mention him. So I had to call out on the ONLY other post I‘ve Ever seen regarding him. Lol (edited) 3mo

Finished this last knight while it was well written, contained great characters and a great world… it didn‘t hit the way I wanted it to … still a great read though 😊🙌🏽

January 1 - December 31, 2024

I plan on continuing the Stormlight Archive series with book two. And read all 12 books in the Rake Review “monthly” series; romances by the Brazen Belles.

A quite complex plot is delivered in a comprehensible way through a great mc. (I say that, but I did look up the ending on Reddit to make sure that I understood it, so ...) Think Ancient Rome but also powerful magic but also a military institute school situation but also a cool dog. The beauty of this book is alllll of the plotting, politics, various conspiracies, hazy characters that we only know as much about as Vis does (not much.) &Great audio

LeeRHarry Have this on my teetering TBR - slightly intimated by the page number but it does sound really good. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊 4mo
currentlyreadinginCO It was quite chunky but the world is delightful if you are into high fantasy 😍 @LeeRHarry 4mo
