My #BookSpin list for March is pretty meager. I have five books I‘m committed to reading this month, three more I‘m working on but won‘t finish yet (buddy reads), and the rest is up in the air. The second half of the month is going to be crazy (I got a new gig! And then we‘re going to visit the in-laws for the first time since 2019) so I don‘t expect to get much reading done. I‘ll still try for a bingo, though!

I loved the tv series years ago. This book had some of the same plotlines. I learned more about London's luxury hotel business and people's roles working in a hotel. I recommend this if you are curious about the life at luxury hotels. It's not as eventful as the tv seroes but it offers more background info.

Niklas Natt och Dag is really not late night reading material so I decided to start reading something lighter and easier. Decided to go with this one. I loved the tv series Hotel Babylon years ago. 😊

#MusicalNewYear #RingOfKeys

You don't often see hotel keys like these anymore.

Cinfhen Hahahahaha so true! My kids were stunned that you used to be given an actual room key 🔑 5y
rockpools Did you ever see the TV series based on this one? It was very shiny and quite fun! 5y
CarolynM @RachelO Bits of it. I enjoyed the book, it's quite an eye opener. 5y

Starting #6 from my July TBR pile. I‘m giving this book one last attempt. I‘ve started this at least 3x in the last few years. Read during a storm #SummerChallenge

TheClevelander Yeah, I think i was generally appalled and irritated by this entire book. 6y
Lauram @TheClevelander I suspect I‘ll feel the same and may be why I haven‘t read it yet. I‘m going to give it 150 pages before making any decisions. 6y
Reviewsbylola I loved this when I read it years and years ago but I‘m wondering if I would feel the same way now. 6y

16 hours into #24in48 - may not finish all 24, but definitely some interesting reading. Listened to all of this audiobook this afternoon. The narcissism and lack of conscience disgusts me beyond belief, but glad I know more about the background of this man. #threecupsofdeceit

There are always 3 sides to a story: my truth, your truth & the truth.

In all fairness, I've not read Three Cups Of Tea, so I approached this book with an open mind. You'd enjoy this book better if you read TCOT first as you will have better understanding of the issue.

Anyway, this book is still an ok read for me:
✔ Informative
✔ Well-structured

Rating: 3🌟
