So this is my #marchintoreading #didn'tlikebutstillfinished. Maybe it's because I'm monstrously cynical, but this had the same sticky-sweet, kumbaya feeling I have previously gotten mainly from Mitch Alblom and anything with "Chicken Soup" in the title.

#didn'tlikeitstillfinished #marchintoreading I love history, but the writing and storylines were so simplistic and the history so stereotypical I didn't like this at all. Unfortunately, it was loaned to me by a friend who loved it so I had to finish all 1,000 pages!

Aswenson I LOVED Pillars of the Earth and World Without End, but this trilogy isn't quite grabbing me the same way. 7y

KVanRead I felt just that way about his Purity which I read in Jan. This one's still on my shelf but I'm now thinking I might take it right back to the Goodwill and save myself the aggravation.😂 7y
