Pretty great reading month.
16 books read
7 audiobooks
1 re-read -Good Omens
1 dnf because I HATED it-Paper Princess
Very heavy on romance this month because it‘s what I crave when stressed.

BookNAround I read a lot of romance in December too. I think it helps me stay on an even keel with everything I need to accomplish! 11mo

I finished up the year‘s reading with some strong reads. My favorites were The Fact of a Body, The Great Believers, and The Friend.

Carolyn11215 What do you all use to get these great thumbnail collages? 11mo
thebluestocking @Carolyn11215 I used Photoshop for this. But I also use PicsArt and PicCollage on my phone. 11mo

Pickpick

A pleasant, quick read, this British romance is told from multiple perspectives, but unlike many other recent novels that have attempted this, One Day didn‘t fail miserably (high praise, I know; I‘m a tough customer). With plenty of allusions to British romantic comedies, this tale puts its reader on a bit of an emotional roller coaster, and like the high-speed ride, you know where you‘re going, but that doesn‘t make the trip any less enjoyable.

dgingo I read One Day in December in one day this December (12.29.18).

Holidays are for book binging, no?

The_Heeler_Booklife I loved this book. I finished it a few days ago and it was just 😍 11mo
dgingo @allthingskayla I enjoyed it, but I also would have liked to see Laurie and Jack together for a bit at the end. I know it wasn‘t ever going to live up to our expectations of them together, especially after all that time, but I would have still liked to see them together for a few pages. I hope they don‘t do it, but I get the feeling there will be a sequel. 11mo
The_Heeler_Booklife @dgingo I agree that I wish there were more about Lu and Jack in the end and I wanted to see Sarah‘s wedding. Plus, it would been kind of funny to see Oscar again with a second failed marriage because he was married to his job. I do hope for a sequel, I would be over the moon for one. (edited) 11mo
dgingo @allthingskayla And I felt like there was much more unsaid about Oscar‘s mom. Maybe it got edited out, as it was 400 pages. Yes—more with Sarah and Luke too. But, I loved the recipes at the end! 11mo

Quiet Christmas morning with a collection of Christmas romance stories and holiday Rice Crispies.

MaGoose I wish we could have had such a nice, laidback morning, yesterday. My mom and I had to trek about an hour and a half to visit relatives. We ended up eating burgers with them at a diner. 12mo
AshHisson Oh wow, I‘m sorry to hear that. Our big family celebration was on the 23rd, and we hosted so the worst part was the pre and post cleanup. 11mo
