A slow moving mystery. Some of the characters were a bit quirky. Very not earth-shattering story. I will read the second in the series to see how the novels are tied together. 4/5

It‘s been a minute and truthfully I‘ve been hiding😂 This world is wild man. We were on vacation Labor Day week, and staring the week before to now it feels like one horror after the next. But I resolve to spend more time reading and consuming positive content! Got this lovey and final (finally lol) #cbbc package in the mail!
My August Bookly report. It was a slow reading month for me.
Such a cute cozy and I loved it being set in a year-round Christmas town! I never would have guessed the murderer… I plan on reading more of this series for sure!!
This was okay -- nothing startlingly great, but a fairly comfortable/classic mystery. I worked out most of it in advance of the characters, which is fine; it's half how it gets revealed, anyway. Big dramatic scene, etc, etc.
And that was my #DoubleSpin!
Forgot to post this for June. #bookbracket2025 @CSeydel
Way behind on my reading, especially for #hashtagbrigade. I thought I‘d get caught up tonight, but my refrigerator had other ideas. The freezer failed so I‘m making soup to use things that were too thawed (and borrowing space in a friend‘s freezer until mine is fixed.) And baking pumpkin bread with the last of the pumpkin purée from last fall. It‘s 92 degrees outside and my house smells like November. ?
The first in a series set on Cape Cod, this one had a lot going on…and not all in a good way. Lots of nonessential info that could not even be described as red herrings. I‘d say more, but it may be considered spoilerish. Let‘s just say it‘s confusing. #Xander #CatsOfLitsy
