Listening to the audiobook with David Hyde Pierce narrating, I have had a few good chuckles. When I was a kid, my dad recommended that I read this. I tried, but couldn't get past the first chapter. As an adult, I am enjoying it much more.

so-soA murder mystery with time travellers intermingling, maybe interfering is a better word, with the lives of people. The characters are well written and there is intrigue that kept me reading. I liked that the chapters were from different characters, this kept a good pace to thw story. There was something missing though and I haven't quite put my finger on it yet....

Happy day! I realized this morning that I own the audiobook edition of The Final Empire. So now, I can stick with the story even when reading is not practical! I got an extra 3 chapters in today by listening during my commute and my after work shower. 🎧 That's a good thing, because I'm loving this book! 💙💙 I'm not crazy about the narrator though. 🤔
