#calm

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that‘s best of #dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow‘d to that tender light
Which heaven to #gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless #grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o‘er her face;
Where thoughts serenely #sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

contd ⬇️

TK-421 And on that cheek, and o‘er that brow,
So soft, so #calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all
A heart whose love is innocent!

The house was quiet and the world was calm.
The reader became the book; and summer night

Was like the conscious being of the book.
The house was quiet and the world was calm.

#BBRC #ER (Popular TV Character) My son is a fan of Daniel. Every episode of the tv show and each book teaches the child how to deal with emotions and social situations. In this one, Daniel is so excited to go to the library‘s Story Time that he can‘t be still. His Dad teaches him how to calm himself. (The tv show uses songs to teach lesson.) When a friend acts up at Story Time, Daniel teaches him the technique. @LibrarianRyan

Our storm is past, and that storm‘s tyrannous rage,
A stupid calm, but nothing it, doth ‘suage.
The fable is inverted, and far more
A block afflicts, now, than a stork before.
Storms chafe, and soon wear out themselves, or us;
In calms, Heaven laughs to see us languish thus.

“Fall”

The leaves are falling, falling as if from far up, as if orchards were dying high in space. Each leaf falls as if it were motioning "no." And tonight the heavy earth is falling away from all other stars in the loneliness. We're all falling. This hand here is falling. And look at the other one. It's in them all. And yet there‘s Someone, whose hands infinitely calm, holding up all this falling.

SharonGoforth @TheSpineView Oh, I‘m sorry!!😬. I picked this out early this morning and almost forgot to post it! But that just means we have great taste, right? I love it, too!! 4mo
Lcsmcat So can we take from this that Wordsworth was particularly calm? 4mo
SharonGoforth @Lcsmcat I think so!! 4mo
