Irockpolkadots So traumatic. I lost it when they had to keep going without Jack. Man, I keep intending to reread those books, but never do! I just put it on my New Years resolution for 2019! Also, I‘m new to Litsy, and the first post I see was this one. So fun since I lived for these books as a child. 5y

llwheeler I forgot about this! But funny thing, I reread these so much as a kid (like, whole series 20+ times) and I always had to read them in order, never skipped books, but Plum Creek was the only one I sometimes had to force myself to get through in order to continue with the rest of the series. Maybe this was part of why. 5y

Chrissyreadit I am in the minority of not a fan of Little House Books and chose not to introduce my children when they were young. I struggle with pa in blackface and bad injuns, and worry that shapes young minds into accepting microaggressions as normal because they were presented in a positive format. 😥😿🙍♀️ 5y
