While riding through the car wash, the car was moving slowly and the water was hitting the windshield. I got a panic attack as I thought that I would drown if I didn‘t get through the car wash quicker. I know it sounds silly but anyone who has had panic attacks would understand that I cannot go through again. I now fear another panic attack more than the car wash.

DieAReader I definitely can understand! If it helps, I try to intently focus on keeping my breathing steady & slow when panic attacks hit me. Doesn‘t always work but, for me it often does. Music & a worry stone also help me. 📚🎶 4y

EadieB @SquidgetsRoom The man who operates the carwash told me that he has a lot of customers who cannot go through the car wash so that made me feel better. I have been through the car wash so many times before and I was so surprised that I had that panic attack. I am also very claustrophobic and I think moving so slowly brought out that feeling too. But I will remember you breathing techniques. Thanks! 4y

Crazeedi @EadieB I had my first panic attack while driving, I pulled over tank goodness my hubby was with me, but i thought it was the end, truly. I have become more claustrophobic as I've gotten older too. Panic attacks are no joke. Deep breathing does help but sometimes its hard. I usually have to take something. 4y
