11/22/63: A Novel | Stephen King

Pickpick

Absolutely loved this book! Exploring the rabbit hole to 1958, the events leading to 11/22/63, and entertaining so many questions...What really happened? What might be otherwise? Can one man make a difference? Can history be changed? History is fragile. The past is obdurate.

I'm pretty stingy with my 5-star ratings, so only have three so far this year. These were all winners. #bestreadsof2017sofar #day2 #jubilantjuly

booksandsympathy Prisoner of Azkaban is one of my best this year also. 7y
PurpleyPumpkin @booksandsympathy This was a reread for me & I was surprised that I liked it so much the second time around!👍🏽 7y
booksandsympathy I'm currently slogging my way through Order of the Phoenix. Umbridge makes this book difficult. 7y

PurpleyPumpkin I'm hoping to get to that one over the summer. And I agree with you, I take umbrage with Umbridge!!😂 Sorry, I couldn't resist. 7y
PurpleyPumpkin @Lmstraubie I really liked this on audio. Shonda Rhimes reads it herself and she was great!👍🏽 7y
KellyK @PurpleyPumpkin it was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me, too!! 7y

Swimming lessons is one of the books my dog ate 🙄

Suzze Bet it was tasty! I have record albums from the 60's that my dog, Hendrix, chewed the corners off of. 7y
vicgreentoriafield @Suzze oh my goodness, how is that even appetizing!? 7y
Gissy I want to read A Study in Charlotte! 7y
vicgreentoriafield @Gissy it's a lot of fun! 7y

A few of my #BestReadsof2017SoFar. These are the ones that have haunted me (I'm including Crooked Saints, though I just finished it, because I know it will). Catherynne Valente's The Bread We Eat in Dreams is also on this list, but it is a very-out-of-print library book, and I had to give it back. 😭 These are the books that made me ACHE. (York I've included more for its genius factor and snark levels. I keep thinking about it!) #jubilantjuly

Laalaleighh I just stacked every single one of these! They all look fantastic! 7y
elkeOriginal York plus Roses and Rot are on my immediate TBR pile, at least 🙌 7y
RealLifeReading They sound fantastic and great covers too! 7y
aeeklund @Laalaleighh I hope you enjoy them all!! Let me know what you think when you read them!! (I will STILL be wanting to talk about them...) 7y
aeeklund @elkeo I'll be really interested to hear what you think of both of them. 7y

I've been lucky. I haven't read a dud book yet this year. So, it was tough determining my #BestReadsof2017SoFar. But here they are. These books continue to weave through my mind for various reasons even after I've read them, in some cases months ago. #JubilantJuly
