I‘m enjoying it, although I have to say, it also makes me very angry about the way we treat each other. And unrestrained corporate capitalism. Grrrrr.
The puppas are not enjoying this walk in the rain, yet they INSIST on going out. 🤷🏻♀️
Listening to Hughes, fabulously narrated (and sung! In multiple voices!) by the incredibly talented Myra Lucretia Taylor.
James McBride used a lot of similar themes in Deacon King Kong, which I read and loved recently. Both books are great.

The audiobook is EXCELLENT. The voice actors are superb, and Margaret Atwood does the chapter headings. ❤️❤️❤️
I finished reading the book a week ago, and I don't generally re-read, but this second run through is eye-opening. I see what you did there, Margaret!
