The bookmark says it all! Took me only a couple hours to finish this book that‘s been on my TBR for 3 years. It‘s considered middle grade fantasy but I feel like it‘s more YA. Either way I absolutely adored it!

I was so tempted to buy one of these because it‘s a series I want to reread - but they were both a bit battered and there is still no release date for the last book... so I feel I should focus on rereading/finishing other series I‘ve committed to...

Are you an IC fan? Do you also wish she‘d HURRY UP?! Which cover art speaks more to you?

This book ended up on my shelf at some point, so I figured I would read it. It‘s meant for a younger age group, but it was quirky and charming!

Literary_Siren I‘ve had this on my shelves for a few years. I keep meaning to get to it. 5y
bewareofwords @Literary_Siren That‘s exactly what I did with this book too! 😂 I feel like there are always books sitting on my shelf that I take too long to read haha 5y

What YA Magical World you belong in quiz.

These would be interesting worlds to live in.

Thanks @tea.n.books for the link.

Loved the romance and chemistry of Adele and Gareth in this book. The action was great and it was a fast read because I love all the characters. More Cesare please!! I need to know what the heck he has planned! (you need to read the first before this one though)

I really enjoyed this read. Elka was found as a child by Trapper, who teaches her how to hunt, fish, and fend for herself in the wild. Her world gets toppled when she finds out that Trapper is a killer - and now she's on the run from the law and from the man she thought of as a father. #thriller #dystopia #alternateworld

JazzFeathers This sounds soooo interesting 7y
DragonSadhana @JazzFeathers It is. I wasn't sure where the storyline was going to go, but it got real interesting. 7y

I do love #maps in books, especially in fantasy. It helps to picture the lands and direction of travel of the characters. It's been a long time since I have read this trilogy. I don't remember what made me pick it up, as it's not my usual "type" of fantasy, and the first book is a bit of a doorstop. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The world was easy to settle into, and it jumped back and forth from the US to Eldarn. #lyricalapril @Cinfhen

Melissa_J I have this book on my TBR pile. I'm glad that you liked it. 7y
Cinfhen That's a beautiful map ❤️?but the word "door stopper" gave me the shivers ?? 7y

I can't believe that for such a fan of high fantasy, I had never heard of this author and series until recently. 😯 I am so thankful to #Litsy for introducing me to this short, suspenseful and satisfying little gem. I am definitely going to continue the series with pleasure. 😊💙 On a side note, have you ever seen such a lovely edition? I am now on the hunt for all 3 books in this older, original format! #fantasy #classic #alternateworld

Nat_Reads This edition is way better than mine! I'm on the lookout, too, now! 7y
aa_guer2021 @Nat_Reads definitely want to own them all one day. This was from the library 7y

I enjoyed the world-building, and the build up of tense anticipation throughout the story. I also think that the world that was created was very inventive. But I will warn you that this is a trilogy, and as a result there are more questions than there are answers. I am reading the 2nd book next. #scifi #alternateworld #SouthernReach #AreaX #trilogy
