#TLT #threelistthursday three things I love about school 1. Every day is different this is doubly/triply true for me because I‘m a supply/occasional teacher by choice 2. I work at the same school all the time now and I often tell the teachers I will plan an art lesson for them ( lessen their work load) 3. The kids think I‘m actually the school art teacher ( if only that job existed) I post the art we do on my IG acc‘t with the same name @mcctrish

Karisa Love it! 😍 3mo

AmyG This is awesome. I loved art in school. 3mo
mcctrish @AmyG I try to mix it up with lessons inspired by artists, using multiple mediums, techniques, giving them some wiggle room to personalize their art ( the lions in the pic- we made a standard face and then using specific colours they could create the mane however they wanted ) 3mo
Tamra Fantastic! It‘s shame they don‘t have you and/another art teacher full time. (edited) 3mo
mcctrish @Tamra why we can‘t properly fund education is beyond me 3mo

This was so good! Historical mystery set in Victorian England with a serial killer, an inspector with a troubling past, and a female doctor. Well written and captivating.

Trigger warnings for graphic murder scenes, child abuse and violence, and violence toward women

Bette I thought it was good too, it was so well done for a debut novel. 👍😊 3mo

Well…this seems spot on for today‘s climate…

“‘One accusation is off the mark. Foreigners aren‘t the ‘criminal contagion‘ so many claim. As a policeman, I can attest to that. It takes a lot to leave your home. To start life over in a new place requires courage. It takes energy and ambition.‘”

This book takes place in 1866. The MCs fight against a prejudicial society in the UK. Very timely indeed.

Librarybelle @Chrissyreadit This book makes me think of Rosemary Simpson‘s books. If you have not tried this one yet, I‘d recommend it! 3mo

This was a low pick for me. The story of Nora Beady, who is brought into the home of Dr. Croft after her family has died due to cholera. Dr. Croft sees the potential in Nora and teaches her the medical sciences.

I liked Nora and her story, but the novel dragged in parts. I felt Nora‘s connection to Dr. Croft and Mrs. Pruitt, but struggled with her “romantic” relationships. There is a sequel, and I‘ll read it to find out what happens to Nora.
