Litsy now allows us to tag libraries and book store locations! Super exciting! 😊 This is my hangout weekly #SHPL!

umbrellagirl I visited Sterling Heights once or twice for work. Sadly not the library though. 4mo
CrowCAH @umbrellagirl neato, glad you came by for a “work visit”! 😊 4mo

Went to the #SHPL library today and saw this awesome display near the children‘s section!

Book and movie, anyone?

JamieArc One of my favorite English courses in college was where we would read a book and then watch the adaptation. I loved it! (And then our final project was writing a screenplay for a book of which a film hadn‘t been made - that was a lot of fun!) (edited) 8mo
CrowCAH @JamieArc I had a class at University called Adaptation and we read the stories and then watched several adaptations; I loved it!!! Your final sounds amazing!-hope you make it a movie 😉 8mo

#BookHaul from #SHPL Used Book Store

A large font copy of Pride and Prejudice: yay!

And I‘ve been wanted to read the tagged book for some time now. It‘s a #LitsyMadeMeDoIt moment.

mydearwatson _the princess..._ is so good! 12mo
CrowCAH @mydearwatson it was overall good; some poems resonated with me. I did like the overall message. 12mo

Also did some shopping at the #SHPL used book store for my #XmasXstitchExchange!

CoverToCoverGirl Outstanding choice! That is one of the loveliest little stories I have ever read and the rest of the series isn‘t bad either. 😍❤️ 12mo
CrowCAH @CoverToCoverGirl good to know it‘s a nice story! 12mo

#BookHaul #SHPL used book store

Picked these beauties up today!

I tried Gregory‘s Wideacre novel and couldn‘t stomach the content, so I gave her up for lost. But when I spotted these and read the back cover, well, I think they‘ll redeem Gregory for me. Can‘t wait to give these a go!

Birdsong28 I love Philippa Gregory and even I found Wideacre a bit hard to swallow but it was her first novel so it will be a bit rough as her writing style hadn't been perfected but the rest of the series is good. It was a bit of shock as I had read her Tudor novels first and they were so good so I could tell the difference. I haven't read these as they are her YA series. Enjoy 😁📚📖 12mo
Cheshirecat913 I saw these the other day and was tempted. 12mo
CrowCAH @Birdsong28 good to know I wasn‘t the only one. I really want to like her work. My younger sister loves the Tudor books, so I‘m trying these books for her, so we can geek out about Gregory! 12mo

Here is the book the #SHPL young adults voted for to be the winner of the Library March Madness Best New Book Of 2017!

Sadly our bracket did not win, as we voted for The Hate U Give to be the winner.

Thank you to all who voted!

Matchup 1/1; fifth and FINAL round

In the comments, below, vote 🗳 for the number/book you want to see move on to the next round.

The goal is to see if we can guess which YA book will be the winner after five rounds. Hosted by #SHPL.

Since the library still has to tally votes for the final four and then vote on the final matchup, the winner, as voted by the library, will not be announced till 4/10/18.

As the books keep getting eliminated, we on Litsy only have one of four books, which could potentially be the winner, as the #SHPL youth have voted. (See their choices in red under the books we‘ve voted for.)

I hope “One of Us is Lying” makes it to the next round; then we‘ll have a real chance at winning!
