I have listened to 3 Garrett Graff full-cast audiobooks and I love all 3. This one is about all about the atomic bomb: perspectives from scientific minds through history theorizing the making of this weapon, and the great minds who came together to crest it, to the military officers and world leaders who helped carry out the mission of using it, and those impacted by the explosion in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Another expertly researched deep dive.

This excellent book is the story of the atomic bomb told by the people involved in making it and those it impacted. I particularly appreciate the extensive section of voices from Japan of those who were in Hiroshima and Nagasaki when the bombs were dropped there. Hard to listen to, but vitally important.

The American Centre used to send scholars to lecture us on this. To the extent that we've heard lectures where [American] scholars have told us how great Saudi Arabian society was, and that women could operate within their own sphere of life. After a while people said, well, if it's such a great and romantic system, perhaps the United States needs to import it themselves.

This is part memoir and part history of Rocky Flats nuclear weapons plant in CO. It‘s interesting and Iverson has a lot to say about her life and the impacts of Rocky Flats. I think a map of the area and a timeline could have helped move this along. Parts were fantastic, other portions I scanned.

Surprising enough I've never read anything on Hiroshima even though I love reading about Japan.
This book takes accounts of the people who survived.

Crazeedi I have this on my shelf, ordered it a while ago because of what I heard about it 2y
