pickThis is so well done. A quick YA novel, told in vignettes. The mc is a bright young teenager, with aspirations of going to university. We learn of her hopes and dreams, family and friendships and daily life. But when Boko Harem attack her village, life changes forever.
Based on interviews with girls who escaped & families of the missing girls, it‘s simply written without ever simplifying extremism or judging the girls‘ reactions. Stunning.
