For #nationalindependentbookstoreday 🇺🇸, I spent a few hours hunting down books that would replace lost library books and delete student fines. It was so hard not to buy books I love and focus on specific titles. It's also #schoollibrarymonth. If your kids have outgrown their books, see if the local grade school will take them.

A morning of visiting my local Indie bookstore,& breakfast at a nearby diner.My friend & I were greeted at the door with a mimosa,games with prizes,buttons, bookmarks & a a blind book date.Purchased 2 books: Bibliophobia, & the tagged book.
The dinner,The Quaker Dinner is 93 years old- a place of nostalgia for me,as it was a destination of choice when my sibs & I were skipping Mass & it rained.The local reservoir‘s was for sunny days.😏

And this is my part of the #bookhaul to celebrate #NationalIndependentBookstoreDay - well, minus some gifts to not spoil anything! 🤣

My two cousins and I had a fantastic time over three days, 800 miles and 18 stores all over Wisconsin! We met wonderful fellow book lovers and we are already planning next year!

My two cousins and I celebrated #NationalIndependentBookstoreDay this year with a road trip all over Wisconsin!! Over 800 miles driven, 18 stores visited and this is our haul at the end of three days! It was a ton of fun and I can‘t wait to repeat it next year!!!
