pickRead this in July while on vacation. It was a beautiful, tender story about grief and allowing vulnerability into the hard parts of life. This was a very slow burn romance but Bastone writes her characters with so much heart and chemistry that it's worth the wait 💗

This is an age-gap romance, but I liked it. She gets hired as a nanny and can‘t stop thinking about the hot single dad she works for.
pickThis is a story about learning to live again, following Lenny as she navigates grief. Miles is the lifeboat she didn‘t know she needed. I laughed at Lenny‘s witty retorts and cried ugly tears with her several times. This book wrecked me and also healed my heart at the same time. Book #64 in 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My second Cara Bastone, and she just kind of restores your faith in humanity, doesn‘t she? She nails the FMC quirky lovable mess vibe which I think is relatable to so many. Always conflict balanced with happy stuff. Very enjoyable!
Vacation week has been busy in a great way, but I haven't had as much time for reading. However this evening we went to a sunset music series on the beach and I was able to get a few chapters read. It was a lovely, relaxing time ☺️
