Considering that Celaena‘s parents were so against Maeve seeing Celaena, I worry this queen is trouble. Rowan has been ordered to train her - he‘s thrilled by the way - and I wonder to what end. Does Maeve want to use Celaena‘s power for her own gains? ⬇️

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Book 3 Ch.4-6: We meet a couple more new characters in the scary and badass Manon, and the shy healer Sorscha. We also get a look at how Aedion is when it‘s just him and Dorian (he‘s kind of a d*ck). Chaol is keeping his distance from Dorian for his own good- but Dorian feels a bit betrayed and alone. I know it‘s dangerous but I feel like these two need to find a way to talk and work together. ⬇️

StayCurious The king is up to his usual dark tricks so they need to stand together. Celaena is in fairie territory and they seem to know who she really is. It‘s safe to assume Rowan does as well. 2d

StayCurious @Butterfinger if I‘m remembering correctly with Baba yellowlegs, I think the iron teeth witches are mortal enemies of the Crochan witches and are trying to wipe them out. Not sure what started the feud. 1d

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Book 3: Ch.1-3: We get right into things with a very downtrodden Celaena in Wendlyn. I think being alone without her friends is dangerous for her. She wallows too much. We meet an interesting new character in the Fae Rowan who is set to take her - probably to his Queen. Good. Make her snap out of her grief. ⬇️

StayCurious Then we catch up with a very stressed out Chaol and Dorian and Celaena‘s cousin, who is also part of the King‘s black ring club. If he is truly as bad as he seems, he has betrayed everything his family stood for. 3d

mcctrish I can‘t remember if he has and now he‘s too busy fretting about his magic - honestly these boys are useless 3d

BarkingMadRead These rings are worrisome, like he uses the rings to control everyone, while they think they‘re in some club. And yikes! How far Celaena has fallen. She needs to get her act together! 3d

Laughterhp Calaena is so depressed right now! Hopefully meeting with the fae snaps her out of it. More black rings!! How many people are in on it?! 3d

Butterfinger @mcctrish the Fae men will get things done. I hope. Two new characters, but I am so glad (I agree, they're useless) that we still have Chaol and Dorian. I was afraid they would fall off the side of the earth. Do you think the rings are compelling (that may be the wrong word) or a symbol of a club? 3d

mcctrish @Butterfinger I think it‘s a control device like the king can zap them or something - Perrington had to be making what‘s her face get headaches with his ( so maybe the king gave Roland headaches with his?) 3d

Littlewolf1 Oh man, Celaena is hurting real bad. You can almost feel how lost she is as she numbs her pain and sadness. @mcctrish the rings almost remind me of the rings of power from Lord of the rings. They‘re given as a gift and it almost feels like people look at them as a symbol of their status and power. A gift that the king has bestowed upon them. Who really pays too much attention to a status symbol. 3d

Read4life Those rings are definitely bad news. Celaena is in a bad way. Hopefully she gets it together before she does something reckless with no one having her back. 2d

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Book 2 Ch.55-56/review: what a bombshell - Celaena is the long lost princess and heir to Terrasen. I think we all knew that, right? I wonder if Chaol will be able to keep her secret. Do we think the King suspects? Doubtful. He never would have sent her to Wendlyn if he did. I was sad for Chaol saying goodbye to Celaena - he loves her and knows he has lost his life with her. ⬇️

StayCurious What will he do about the wyrdkeys? He‘s a good man…but too damn loyal to his king and his hard won profession. And to Dorian - even though he never tells him things haha. Will he be forced to go back to his home at some point? How long can he hold his father off? I found this book does a good job of stirring things up and making you want to continue the story. Overall I liked this story. It‘s definitely a bridge to future events. It had good ⬇️ 2w

StayCurious World-building and some great action scenes and revelations that brought us further attachment to these characters. I found Celaena is harder in this book but still a sympathetic and strong character. 2w

mcctrish I‘m sad SJM killed off Nehemiah but we have 3 leaders ( if Chaol goes home) now that can come together in a new world. It really did set up more stories 2w

Laughterhp Wow! I actually finished at the same time, even though my timing has been all over the place. I really liked this book. It was action packed, I liked the world building and all the characters. I can‘t wait to read the next one. 2w

5feet.of.fury This had way more going on than book 1 and I found the character development to be more cohesive. I could have done without Nehemia seemingly sacrificing herself for celaena‘s development. Archer‘s meddling was dramatic enough. But this was a very exciting installment, with the 3 separated I have no idea how the next book will unfold 2w

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Book 2 Ch.52-54: Well if we weren‘t sure of Chaol‘s feelings for Celaena before, we know now. He loves her and understands that he can never be with her but he is willing to do anything to protect her. Even send her away and give up his life in the guard. But of course he can‘t talk to Dorian and explain so those two will be at odds. Sigh. I worry about them each being on their own.

StayCurious At least we know for sure now that Celaena remembers who she is. I thought she might‘ve blocked some of her past due to trauma. We‘ll finish tomorrow. 2w

Roary47 I wish they would stay together. Chaol is not the greatest at making decisions. I mean he‘s one of my favorites because he‘s the human (I liked Mike in the Twilight series 😅), but dude… decisions are not his thing! 🤣 2w

Littlewolf1 Poor Dorian… he so lost right now and feels like he is loosing his two best friends. I am happy that Chaol made the decision to put Celaena first this time, despite the way he went about it. 2w

I change my baby's name on my current favorite book character. It is just a thing I do to aggravate my friends and family. Her nickname is currently Ruhn Dannon, a Maas character. I haven't found a character yet that I adore as much as Nesta ACOTAR or Ruhn CC, but knowing Maas, one will come.

5✨ Now the kings champion she must do his biding, which is taking out his enemies. As we progress in this book we grow stronger relationships with her friends, learn more about the past, and find out there is a more pressing adventure that needs to be accomplished. By the end we find out a huge truth. I was confused for a long time, but to tie it all up into a nice story to continue is really exciting! #LittensLoveSJM I know I just couldn‘t stop!
