⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This isn‘t an easy book to read.It is classic C.S. Lewis nonfiction: a strong mix of philosophy, science, dry humor, and faith.I'm glad I read this with a group because if I had been reading it on my own, I would not have continued to fight my way through to understanding. That being said, I love the way Lewis constructs an argument. He will win me over with his logical reasoning every time. You'll have to work for it, but I recommend it.

I‘m in holiday reading mode! My bf and I are in northern Italy for about a week and I‘ve got to say, I‘d forgotten how good it is having an air conditioned flat to sit in and read and no one needing me to be anywhere. I‘m trying to balance out some masters reading with some romance novels (but the romance novels are winning)

Hooked_on_books That cover of Piedmont is so pretty. It seems like so many people are going to Italy! 10mo

The last 3 chapters were interesting. But this did not live up to 4 decades of being told this was a fabulous must read.

Miracles (Revised) | C S Lewis

This was just okay. The first two thirds of the book was a philosophical defense of why there can be miracles. The last part was more interesting as Lewis moved into a discussion of the miracle of the Incarnation and the miracles of Jesus. One quote that I like: "in all [Jesus'] miracles alike the incarnate God does suddenly and locally something God has done it will do in general."

This is the dramatic conclusion to May‘s award-winning Lewis trilogy. Dramatic, tense, and fascinating. I had a bit of trouble distinguishing past from present via the audiobook, but that‘s forgivable bc of the impeccable writing🖤

I‘ve already read the tagged book, or it would be on this list. My Lenten practice is to take on something, and this year it‘s spiritual reading. So here‘s my #bookspin list for March. @TheAromaofBooks

TheAromaofBooks Yay!! I hope this season opens your heart to something that encourages you. ❤ 1y

Because of You, John Lewis | Andrea Davis Pinkney

Beautifully illustrated, this book is really about a child named Tybre Faw who was so inspired by John Lewis and how their friendship was formed. Truly an #everybodybook younger children would need a lot of support to understand the content, but there's plenty of time for that. Any child could relate to the admiration Faw has for Lewis.
