Moby-Dick, Or, The Whale | Herman Melville

#NewYearNewBooks #InvolvesJourney Can‘t remember if I finally read this last year or the year before.Though it can get a little deep on whale science, I was surprised how funny it was in parts.I read an old Bantam edition, may dig into this Norton Critical Edition someday to see what I missed on the first reading.

Gissy @tpixie Apparently this is book #1 in a trilogy according to GR. They are short, this is one is only 207 pages. Book one is more about season in the country. Audiobook is available in my account next month, so I will try to read it because story starts during the month of January. It has good rating in GR 3mo

mabell One of my all time favorites! ❤️🇫🇷 There are others(more stories), but I‘ve always thought of this as a standalone, so no need to feel like you have to read the trilogy 3mo

Not really a new book for me as I read in for review in the summer of 2022 but one that #InvolvesJourney as the author is the first Black woman on record to visit all 195 countries in the world. It‘s a big, beautiful travel book to enjoy & armchair journey through. 🌎 🗺️
