Dear #bedlambuddies and #filigreefriends : the new Pulley book in the series has a cover 😍 and according to Amazone the Paperback might be out in October already🤔 the hardcover in February. I‘m so much looking foward to this one 😍😍

julesG 👏👏👏👏 Guess I'll go pre-order the book. 5y
ju.ca.no @julesG I‘ll ask in my hometown‘s bookshop if I can preoder - last time I‘ve preordered on Amazon I‘ve ended up cancelling the order a week after publication and bought it in a store.... 5y

julesG Yes, I suppose I won't order from Amazon either. 5y
umbrellagirl I *need* this now! 5y
ju.ca.no @umbrellagirl me too😍😍 I‘ve been waiting so long already😱 5y
umbrellagirl Ok, why is there no GR giveaway for this?! I can‘t believe it but I just emailed the publisher to ask if they have any ARCs. I‘ve not done that before. 5y
Sarah83 Sounds great 😍 5y
ju.ca.no @umbrellagirl haha good thinking! i‘m crossing my fingers for you, maybe you‘ll get one😍 5y
umbrellagirl @ju.ca.no thanks. I hope so. 🤞🏻 5y
julesG @umbrellagirl I've checked NetGalley. Not available yet. BTW, it's only Amazon that says it's out in October. Bloomsbury says February or March 2020. 5y
ju.ca.no @julesG I‘ve seen that as well and am heartbroken again😭 how much loooongeeeer😑😑😑 5y
Lchnessmnstr I DNF the Watchmaker of Filigree Street... 😬 I got bored... 5y
ju.ca.no @Lchnessmnstr oh no😅 sorry to hear that😅 well then I guess this one might not be for you😅 5y
SauerPatch Was Watchmaker worth reading? How did it compare to Bedlam? I was just thinking about Bedlam and how much I loved it and wondered if I should give Watchmaker a try... 5y
ju.ca.no @SauerPatch ah It‘s been a while since I‘ve read them, I think I loved Bedlam more but found both books great and rated both 5/5😊 5y

Final discussion of our Buddyread! First of: how did you like it? And what do you think of the ending? Did you want anything to happen differently?
I myself enjoyed it immensly! I almost read the second half in one go, because it was so intriguing! The ending was very pleasing for me, I don't think I would want to change anything 😊

julesG Liked the ending! It was truly pleasing. I want more! I liked Merrick and Raphael. Their banter was so good. 😉 6y
ju.ca.no @julesG indeed! Part 4 was just overwhealming for me, so much more fantastic (in the literal sense) than I expected, but the descriptions were marvellous! Part 5 was indeed pleasing, everything was resolved in a very good way!😊 6y
rubyslippersreads That paw! 😻 6y

ju.ca.no @julesG I especially liked that Keita reappeared and I am looking foward to reading what he is up to next, in the other book😊 6y
julesG Yes, I'm looking forward to the other book as well. Part 4 had a lot of fantastical elements, but they all made sense - except the phoenix ducks, that was a bit over the top. It all was very thought through, not just a string of fantastic beasts and nothing to go with it. 6y
ju.ca.no @julesG yep, I thought so too! The ducks really came by surprise, but I kind of think they are hilarious 😂 they don't really help the story in any way and were the only thing that was not very necessary, but I love them 😂 I agree that it was very thought through, everything made perfect sense! I'm very satisfied by how everything turned out! 6y
ScorpioBookDreams I absolutely loved the book. My favourite thing was definitely the relationship between Raphael and Merrick. 6y
SauerPatch I also loved how seamlessly the book wrapped up. Just lovely. 🤗 Remind me, because I took so long to read this and I've forgotten: was there a joke about Raphael liking his coffee black? Or was it only kind of humorous because they picked up conversation exactly where they left off? @julesG @ju.ca.no 6y
julesG @SauerPatch I think it was because they picked up where they had left. Merrick went inside to make coffee and when he came back Raphael was in stasis, so bringing coffee now made total sense. 6y

I'm allowing myself time to stay up a little later than I otherwise would to just sit, read, rest, and breathe. I need some time to heal from this physically and emotionally trying week. 💔

To my #BedlamBuddies, I won't be finishing our #buddyread quite on time, and if I can't this evening then I don't know when I will. But I've loved reading and discussing with you all. 🤗

MrBook *biiig hug* Positive vibes sent your way from @BookBabe and me! 6y

#BedlamBuddies I'm looking forward to our final discussion. @ju.ca.no @SauerPatch @ScorpioBookDreams

I liked this book a lot more than I had anticipated. There's history, magic, strange creatures, strange plants, secrets, murder, fantasy, and lots of linguistics in this story.

TrishB I have this ready on the tbr! 6y
ju.ca.no and ducks! 6y

julesG @ju.ca.no yes, the fabulous ducks! 6y

Someone is clinging to the ends of my shawl. It's the first time in ages that I'm wearing it while reading and of course, Ghost dug her claws into it right away.

I need this Jackson Galaxy book, no matter whether I win it or have to buy it. The plant-eating, books-biting, shelf-clearing, shawl-clawing little diva and I should get some help before we start digging trenches. @kamoorephoto

On another note, starting part 5 now. #BedlamBuddies

erinreads My cat eats all plants and flowers too! We had to just stop having even the cat safe plants in the house because he would just eat them and then throw up. Mine also eats plastic, so he‘s extra special. 6y
julesG @erinreads The throwing up is what I'm most afraid of. It'll happen when I'm out and she'll just leave the puddle there for me to step in later. 😨 6y
ju.ca.no I just finished the book and I loved it 😍 I need to buy her other book as well, I saw that it deals with Keita😊 #bedlambuddies 6y

julesG @ju.ca.no I have the other book on my shelf. Fancy another buddy read? 6y
ju.ca.no @julesG YES! But I need to buy it first! I can go to the shop tomorrow and see if they can order it for me (to avoid amazon) and will let you know :) I guess I will have it within a week😊 6y
julesG @ju.ca.no No rush! It's not as if we don't have other things to read. I sent off the #LMPBC book yesterday. 6y
kamoorephoto Haha! Ghost sounds like a character...and I think I already know one solution. But yes, the book is a starter. Good luck, Miss @julesG 😹 6y
ju.ca.no @julesG haha true 😊 I'll finish mine tomorrow and will send it off next week :) 6y
SandyW Our boy is particularly fond of dried rose leaves (not petals), just the dying leaves as the bouquet is getting older. @erinreads He also eats the plastic rings from bevarage containers if we aren't careful and hide them quickly. 6y
julesG @kamoorephoto okay, I'm all ears. What solution? I should mention this is my/our first indoor cat. Some things are very different from a roaming cat that just comes home for food and a cuddle. 6y
kamoorephoto Indoor kitties do need some extra catification and exercise, but the payoff (and extra long lifespan) is huge... 💓💓 there‘s a lot in the book that I know will help... Also, one little point about Siamese: they‘re more prone to Pica/sucking on things like wool, than other breeds so I want to make sure I mention that for safety-sake. One of my cats tries to get at the end of balloon string and that stuff is awful... 6y
julesG @kamoorephoto Thank you! I knew about the extra exercise but I didn't know about the sucking. 6y

Mia seems to love this book as much as I do :) I finished part four today and am longing for work to be over so I can finish it! Part 4 was just amazing! This book is so much better than I ever even hoped!

julesG My cat likes the book, too. For different reasons, though. I found her gnawing at the bookmark twice. 😶 6y

"It was only a story... [b]ut it was a good story. He could feel himself half-believing it, the same way he believed in heaven. While we don't have proper markayuqs in our museum we do have big stone statues from the ancient south american recuay culture, dating back about 2000 years 😊 probably the markayuqs look more like humans, but I kind of imagined them similar to that I guess - at least so far🤔

SauerPatch I think it's so amazing that you're working in real time with the types of things we're reading about! 😃 Like reading a book in grade school and then going on a field trip to learn about it in a hands-on way. 😄 6y
ju.ca.no @SauerPatch indeed! I love it😍 (but ours havn't moved yet😜) 6y
SauerPatch 😂👏🏼 6y

ScorpioBookDreams Thanks for sharing. That‘s amazing! 6y
julesG Soooo coool! Wish I could work in a museum or library. The description of the markayuq reminded me of something I saw at the British Museum, but I can neither describe it, nor name it. Will have to try find it again in my next trip to London and take a picture. 6y
ju.ca.no @julesG oh it would be very interesting to see that! 😊 6y
Texreader This is awesome! What a dream job you must have!!! 6y
Texreader @julesG I️ think I know what you are talking about from the British Museum. I think I️be got a photo too but will have to dig around when I️ get back home. 6y
ju.ca.no @Texreader it indeed is amazing 😊 I'm still fascinated by all out objects 😍 6y
Texreader @ju.ca.no Which museum do you work at? 6y
ju.ca.no @Texreader it is an evolutionary museum (showing the physical, mental and future technical evolution of humans) in a super small & unknown town in Uppe rAustria! The museum is huge though! evolutionsmuseum.at is the homepage which we havn't translated to english yet, but "Bildergallerie" shows some pictures of our exponats if you are interested ? 6y
julesG @Texreader Glad I wasn't imagining it. Been to so many museums but the British Museum is the one I love mist. 6y
Texreader @ju.ca.no That sounds so interesting. I️‘ll have to visit the website. 6y
