I‘m #audioworking to this today. It sounds like an interesting book and has been on my #audible TBR for a while. Here we go!

The Jefferson Tayte series is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. The books aren‘t that great, but do provide a nice bit of escapism (great for #Audioworking!). Robinson could do with some seriously word-culling as there are a lot of superfluous sentences - in what should be an action-packed thriller, do we really need to know that “he admired Isambard Kingdom Brunel‘s collaborative creation with architect Matthew Digby Wyatt.”?

Crazeedi I read this series a couple years ago! 2mo

Happy Friday!!!
One of my co-workers' husband make the best tea biscuits and nothing makes a rainy, crappy Friday better than coming in to a whole batch of them!
Going to put my headphones in and try to get this book finished while I'm here. 👍

Finding myself rushing through this library audiobook so I can move on to something happier. Although I wouldn't say this book is expressly pessimistic, it certainly isn't optimistic either 😕. #audioworking from home today so should be able to finish this read quickly.

LauraJ I‘d take it with a grain of salt. A lot of things in the book are just his thoughts without anything to back them up. 3mo
JessNevertheless @LauraJ Thanks, I'm trying to do that. Can't stop reading though cause they are interesting thoughts 3mo

It's a long time coming, have never really organized them fully since moving in nearly 2 years ago 🤦🏻‍♀️. Wish me luck! #audioworking to the tagged book for motivation. 📚📚📚📚

Freespirit You‘ll have to post a pic of the finished result! 6mo

Eggs Great shelves! 6mo
RidgewayGirl It‘s so satisfying to do this, though! It gives me such satisfaction to look at my well-ordered shelves. I mean, yes, it‘s weird and obsessive, too, but also satisfying. 6mo
JessNevertheless @RidgewayGirl I can't believe I've taken so long to do this, I'm so happy I can easily see what I have now! And definitely not obsessive, I'm sure our books are some of our most prized possessions 😊 6mo

Pickpick

I‘m #audioworking and finishing up the author‘s note for I Was Anastasia. The author did an excellent job handling this story, both sides of it. It kept my attention, and the ending was different from what I expected. (I love twists at the end of a book!) This was my pick for “a book about a topic that fascinates you” for the #mmdchallenge. #modernmrsdarcy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

RvnclawWhovian I have this on my TBR shelf, glad to see you enjoyed it 6mo
jenniferajanes @RvnclawWhovian Thanks! I hope enjoy it too. I‘ll keep an eye out for your review when you get to it. 😊 6mo

#audioworking today to this book. It seems a lot like Margaret Atwood's Alias Grace but I'm enjoying this so much more. Picking up so much about Iceland too, the patronymic naming system is especially intriguing.
