1. Finish my Dec TBR, and 3 books I‘ve started and stopped this year.
2. Complete a menu for managing diabetes
3. Continue to do physical therapy exercises
4. Work on mindfulness techniques to reduce daily stress responses
5. Work harder to not stress because our Supreme Court is a political joke. #abortionishealthcare
This book isn‘t in Litsy‘s database. C. 1998. 159 pages. I‘ve been wanting to jump into this for a while. You could say I‘m a collector of these stories...there is always something to learn. More empathy and compassion to give. Let‘s go! #abortionishealthcare

pickI loved this book so much. It was heart breaking, scary, and still—beautiful. Dr. Wicklund went through so much bullshit and lived in fear but she never gave in. No other medical centers face harassment, threats, violence. No other med centers need guards, escorts, locked doors. Why?! She‘s an amazing dr—she learned to listen, to have empathy and compassion! Thank you so much, Dr. Wicklund. Onward in the fight! #abortionishealthcare
When we relegate abortion to the underworld we are putting dangerous tools in the hands of naïve people or greedy people. When women are at the mercy of a cutthroat system, anything can happen to them.

Those years are so vivid to me that seeing these kids who are uninvolved in the issue…abortion has always been there for them. They don‘t know what it was like before, and what it might be like if it‘s taken away. They just don‘t know what it was like.

When abortion is illegal, a woman who suffers complications faces the impossible choice of risking serious legal consequences if she tells the truth or serious medical consequences if she doesn‘t. If she is lucky, the wrong choice is not fatal. If we are determined and organized, no woman in America will ever have to face that choice again.

Even if contraception is readily available, we still need abortion because no contraception is foolproof. Until you have actually walked in the shoes of an unwillingly pregnant woman, you can‘t understand how desperate she is.
