I started my long-delayed BONE reread last night! It‘s been fifteen years, and that‘s at least 75% because the omnibus is so. frickin. HUGE. Current Me wouldn‘t have bought it, but Past Me considered it money well spent after the library flat out refused to process vols 4-9 in a timely fashion. I literally spent a year on the wait lists. For six months of that, the books were In Processing. My library‘s anti-genre bias is a longstanding thing. 😔

This might not happen... but I‘m gonna try to read this one before I go on my next contract (since it‘s super big I don‘t want to take it with me) my hubby bought it for me because “I know you‘d love it”

AkashaVampie It sounds interesting, but I don't know if I could get into graphic novels. I need to test that out one day. 4y
ElizaMarie @AkashaVampie Its pretty cute. I used to not like graphic novels but now I am loving them! This is the same with audiobooks, I used to have a hard time with them but now I love them :) 4y
jb72 @AkashaVampie I was the same as @ElizaMarie in I had a hard time with GN and audiobooks. One day it just all clicked. Pumpkinheads is an easy GN to start with especially if you like fall. 4y
ElizaMarie @jb72 Awe Pumpkinheads was super cute. Also I am really into Jem (I still need to pick up the rest of them) but that had this nostalgic aspect of it and was super super pretty that I enjoyed the two volumes I have read so far. 4y

While not as cute or as funny as the first installment, it has its moments. A lot more time is spent with Phoney and he's just not a pleasant character to be around so I found myself enjoying this book less. I'm just not a big fan of seeing mean people brag about how awesome they are then fail. It's predictable, boring, and annoying. I'd much rather spend time with Fone Bone, Thorn, and Grandma Ben, but maybe that's just me.

Had to tag this because RASL wasn't showing up. Been meaning to check it out for a while. Historical sections about Tesla and the explorations of electricity were fabulous, especially the intersections of physics and native creation myths. But the neo-noir plot was a bit sexist and disappointing.

This complete cartoon collection was amazing. The story is an epic adventure and the drawings are incredible. This is definitely a must read!
