From New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the first in a new thriller series. Everyone wondered about Shaye Archers past. Including Shaye. Shaye Archers life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, shes a licensed private investigator, with a single goalto get answers for her clients when there arent supposed to be any. And maybe someday, answers for herself. Emma Frederick thought her nightmare was over when she killed her abusive husband, but someone is stalking her and tormenting her with mementos from her past. With no evidence to support her claims, the police dismiss her claims as post-traumatic stress, but Shaye is convinced that someone is deliberately terrorizing Emmaplaying a cat and mouse game with only one goal in mind. To kill Emma. MALEVOLENT is the first book in a new psychological thriller series by bestselling author Jana DeLeon. The series features a young female private investigator and will appeal to fans of T.R. Ragan and Anne Frasier.

I was only able to read one ebook last month. I hope I can read more this month. Luckily, April's choices look really good.

Dark, twisted, quick to read.

Malevolent by Jana DeLeon has #29 chapters. I have read a few books from her other two series (Ghost-in-Law Mystery Series and Louisiana Longshot) and really enjoyed them, but not read a book in this series yet. #novemberbythenumbers
The first book in all 3 of these series is free to download. What have you got to lose? Both series have given me some laughs.

This was a solid book. Not spectacular, but all around good. The plot, pacing, writing, suspense & characters were all done right. The main character is sufficiently damaged, and in such an interesting way, that there's plenty of fodder for the author to further develop her in subsequent books. It lacks that certain something that makes me want to run out and get the next in the series, but if I stumbled upon it, I'd read it. #LetterM #LitsyAtoZ

this book was intense and for me a definite page turner! This author is amazing in being able to switch from light and funny mystery to an intense thriller. Another series of hers I have been stuck on and have read all installments. Including the most current one I'm almost halfway through and will absolutely post a review about.
I recommend this series also.
