Trees Are Bare
Trees Are Bare | Pamela Marie Brown
1 post
In "The Trees Are Bare" author Pamela Marie Brown chronicles her relationship with her dying mother, from childhood to her last days spent on earth. In 2004 the author found out that her mother, Flora, had a rare and terminal cancer. Flora didn't want to die in an institution, so Pamela and her six siblings agreed to take time out of their busy lives to help her stay at home during this challenging time. These pages hold a diary of the two weeks the author gave to her mother. They interact regarding life and death, confronting the difficulties a woman faces who knows her time on earth is limited. At the end of the book a rare and creative opportunity is offered to you, the reader, to interact with the book. There are blank pages which you can fill with your own experiences, both past and present, so that your legacy will live on.This book will touch the heart of anyone who has or may one day take care of a person dear to them when they are nearing the end of this life. A book you will read, add to, and keep for generations to come.

As much as I love a leafy tree and fall foliage, I think there‘s something beautiful about a bare tree too. The day here started out cloudy, so I lowered the exposure to make the photo look even moodier!

dabbe Wintry scenes like these are my absolute faves--even more than fall leaves. The bleaker, starker, moorier, the better. 🖤🤍🩶 4d

ChaoticMissAdventures What I love the most about this time of year is seeing all the birds nests that had been hidden in the leaves all year long! 4d
