CBee So sorry. Been there - not so much chronic pain (even tho I have that), but menopause issues. My GYN (male) told me to “ride it out.” 😡 2w
JenlovesJT47 @CBee forking bastards, that makes me so angry on your behalf. I haven‘t been to my PCP in years because unless I bring a man with me I don‘t get taken seriously. I need new doctors! Sounds like you need one too ♥️ 2w
JenlovesJT47 @AnnCrystal @TheBookHippie @DebinHawaii @dabbe thank you everyone! I have fibromyalgia and some type of undiagnosed connective tissue disorder and I only have one doctor who is decent. I get blown off by the others. It sucks. 🫂♥️ 2w
TEArificbooks I have been told “there is no way you are in that kind of pain” I have been told “I have never heard of your condition so I‘m not comfortable treating you. Go home call your doctor and wait for the appointment in three months” I have been told “take Tylenol” even though I told him I have had all the Tylenol I can for my entire life and I get liver damage if I take it. Most frustrating part of my condition is being gaslight by doctors. 2w

kspenmoll I am so sorry & mad about your experiences. Keep looking; I have found good medical people who listen. I love my gyn APRN-she‘s a wise listener, never rushes. My cardiologist too. 2w

kezzlou85 So sorry your going through this. I have chronic pain too different reason but took me four years to finally see a doctor as hoped it was temporary and figured they'd fob me off with paracetamol. Its crazy we have to go through this. 2w
CBee @JenlovesJT47 I found an online provider that is basically just for menopausal women. I‘ve been on HRT for a bit and think I finally got to a dose that‘s helpful! I went back to him after I‘d gotten on the HRT and god he was still so smarmy. But, I needed a yearly and a mammo so 🤷♀️ 2w
