Last year I read a weather almanac each month - this years focus … food!

AnnR Fun! I hope you enjoy this journey, too. 1y
Soubhiville Food is always a main focus for me 😁. 1y
LeahBergen Yay! I have this one, too. 👍 1y
jitteryjane724 Oh how fun and fascinating! So many little things in life to appreciate ☺️ 1y

It‘s only the third day of the New Year and I somehow already have all of these on the go. 😆

Tamra Why am I not surprised? 😆 1y

wordslinger42 The books sound good! And I love that tea cup 😍 1y
LeahBergen @Tamra 😆😆 1y
LeahBergen @BookHoarder32 @wordslinger42 Thanks! It holds an enormous amount of tea. 😆 1y
LeahBergen @BookishMadHatter I usually stick to having two on the go at once! Granted, the bottom two are “read throughout the year” almanac formats. 1y
Gissy That tea cup😱😍❤️❤️❤️ 1y
Ruthiella Oopsie Whoopsie! 😆 1y
Jess_Read_This Oh jeez, I was just saying today I wasn‘t going to buy any books and read what I own. And then I see your lovely book pile 🥴💸 1y
Jess_Read_This Coming back to ask: did you read the first volume of the The Food Almanac? 1y
LeahBergen @Gissy It‘s a favourite of mine! 1y
LeahBergen @Ruthiella Yep. 😆 1y
LeahBergen @Jess_Read_This I did and I really enjoyed a slow seasonal read of it throughout the year. It‘s a bit “British-centric” as to seasonal ingredients and such but that wasn‘t a dealbreaker for me (or you, I‘m sure 😆). When I saw there was a second volume, I had to get it! 1y
Jess_Read_This @LeahBergen 😆I was torn between which volume to buy and you are just nudging me towards both! After I added that lovely looking bedside companion book to the cart to read every night before bed. 💸 Thanks for the recommendations! (edited) 1y
LeahBergen @Jess_Read_This You‘re welcome. I mean … I‘m sorry! 😆 1y
batsy 😆 I'm gonna try to finish Clothes-Pegs before I fully devote myself to our nunlit pick 😁 1y
LeahBergen @batsy I‘m almost done Mr Whicher and then (like you) I‘m going to read Clothes-Pegs before letting myself get fully immersed in The Corner That Held Them. I read the first chapter of The Corner and I think it‘s going to be wonderful! 1y
TheLudicReader Love that teacup. 1y
jlhammar @batsy @LeahBergen I've only dipped my toe in both so I'll probably follow the same plan - finish Clothes-Pegs, then really dive-in to Corner. 1y
LeahBergen @TheLudicReader Thanks! It‘s a favourite of mine. 😊 1y
LeahBergen @jlhammar We have a solid plan. 😆 1y
Cathythoughts Beautiful pile and tea cup 👌🏻 1y
catebutler Mine has stacked up too! Love what you‘re reading right now. 💓 1y
LeahBergen @catebutler How does it happen so quickly? 😆 1y
Centique I hope you enjoy Mr Whicher! I found it so interesting. Like you and @batsy I‘m just finishing up a book before I get into The Corner. 1y
LeahBergen @Centique I found it fascinating! I especially liked how it showed the beginning of society‘s obsession with detectives and crime solving. 1y
Suet624 I‘m working on The Corner now. It‘s a dense read but good. 1y
sarahbarnes I love this mug! 1y
