One of them knows I need to go to bed on time, but wants to read for a bit anyway because I haven't read at all today... And the other wants to read and doesn't care about my excuses.
Thought it'd be nice to spend some time with Daisy Dalrymple, anyway...

I concentrated instead on the pleasure of just letting myself read. I had a nice time and finished the third book in the Daisy Dalrymple mystery series! I also fell down some internet rabbit holes that were a lot of fun. I‘m counting this Readathon a success! 💚

Some routine doctors appointments and the horror of insurrection in the capital have worn me out. I hope everyone is ok and finding ways to relax. I‘m finally letting myself read and escape everything and what better company to have than Daisy Dalrymple. I love these cozy mysteries set in 1920‘s England. This is the third in the series and features murder at the opera!

pickIt‘s been awhile since I read the first 2 books in the series. I picked up book 3 on a whim this weekend and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it! And I‘m happy to learn there are currently 23 books in the series. This one kept me guessing til the end (and I guessed right!). I‘d highly recommend this series, especially if you enjoy Phryne Fisher & Her Royal Spyness. 4⭐️

Starting the third book in the Daisy Dalrymple series already, only got bks 2&3 yesterday. I'll definitely be buying the rest of this series, I've already added them all to my amazing & bookdepository.com wishlists.
