I liked more the second story, story of Juliette & Roma was a bit too love-y dove-y for my taste and I also adore murder mysteries set on a train. I also liked Benedikt and Marshall as characters more relatable.

I loved atmosphere of both stories and the stories were entertaining and fun.

TheBookHippie @vlwelser I would love to go visit and eat as well -if only they weren‘t you know CHINA … my good friend is from Taiwan and it‘s truly amazing the regional foods from her and her husband who is from China .. they came here in 1996 for the safety of their sons -they had two and adopted two from the orphanage and landed here. They miss the culture and the lands still. I find it all fascinating! They tea talks are fascinating as well! Tea is a event. 9mo

5feet.of.fury You know… the science didn‘t make much sense to me… the needle to the skin causes people to rip their throat out to stop people from stealing the blood… but they could still steal the blood (?!?) what am I missing here lol 9mo

Anyone else just wowed by Celia. The more we read the more I think initially I underestimated the character …..initially 🖤🗡️♥️ she‘s more likable now.

DebinHawaii Yes! She wasn‘t at all a favorite for me before. I didn‘t trust her in The Violent Delights but she certainly redeemed herself as we have gotten to know her better! She is quietly badass & just gets what needs to be done, done. 9mo

vlwelser She was such a background character in the first 2 books. I find her amusing here. 9mo

Catsandbooks I don't remember her being grating in these violent delights. I like that we keep seeing these layers of her being revealed. So much more depth to her than in the first two books. 9mo

here I am again, reading Chloe Gong‘s new book within days of release and having to sit and twiddle my thumbs for months waiting to find out what my faves are up to. If they‘re together, or hot on the trail or even alive. LOVED seeing the characters from the first duology in these novellas and setting up their presence in the last book in this series.
