Shamelessly pivoting to this book just because I wasn‘t ready to leave Scotland after finishing the previous book. I too have a thirst for the highlands 🤣 That being said I think this is a good candidate for #GuiltyPleasure #TitlesAndTunes bonus points because Twin Atlantic are from Glasgow. Admittedly I didn‘t care for this song when I first heard it but now I love it. Also this book fits the June prompt for #TBRTarot book with a prologue.

2 American women answer an add to run a coffee shop in Scotland. They don‘t know anything about Scotland or running a business. But, they do drink coffee so what could go wrong?
A cast of lovable, sweet, and (sometimes) frustrating characters made this rom-com a pick for me. An Audible free listen and I loved the narration.

A romcom that made me laugh so hard my ribs hurt and at other times could bring tears to my eyes. After disappointing events in their lives in California Bonnie and Dakota follow an advertisement to run a coffeehouse for 6 months in a small village in Scotland set along the Loche. There they meet new friends, new loves and new goals.

Take Bridget Jones, mix it with Outlander and Scottish legends and you have this book. First of all, this book hits one of my favorite tropes, grumpy/sunshine and it's told from both Bonnie's and Rowan's perspectives, which I love. Laugh out loud funny, charming, and heartfelt, this book also delivers deliciously spicy scenes. The fact that it is set in a small Scottish adds wonderful atmosphere as well. A read as hot as a buttery and a coffee!

I wasn‘t crazy with the characters breaking the fourth wall at the start of every chapter. But I didn‘t bail until the FMC & MMC literally yell “you grow up” at each other, more than once, after she kissed him and it wasn‘t well received. Yeah, that‘s the level of maturity here. I also didn‘t like that the FMC schemed to kiss him again even though he clearly told her he didn‘t want that.

Def a chick flick book but I expected that given the name. A few laugh out loud moments, but mostly a predictable onslaught of sexual innuendos that lead to you know where (kinda raunchy) followed by regret followed by a normal chick flick ending full of drama then happiness and love. I‘m ready to pack my bags for Scotland though!! Book #53 in 2022

So far The Highland Fling is another fun and breezy read and has some humorous moments. I can't seem to stop lately. I have 4 books I'm currently in the middle of reading. It's an enjoyable problem. I can't seem to stop myself from starting another before finishing more than one of them. Ebooks... audiobooks... I'm supposed to be reading a paperback also but I keep putting it off. Gotta have a book for all possibly reading opportunities. 🤷🏻♀️

It's opening day!!!! Thank you @TheAromaofBooks for my #SwoonathonSwap! I can't wait to dive into these books or the chocolate!
