How do you feel about cussing in books? I for one find it hilarious if done in a way that‘s true to the character.
Loving this book so far. I watched a panel with Margot and she shared that she has ADHD and wanted to put the reader inside of the brain of her ADHD main character by utilizing the use of footnotes. So far I‘m loving the quirky format. Also the design of this book is absolutely beautiful.
TrishB I swear all the time, so reading it in books isn‘t odd for me! 2y
TheBookKeepers @TrishB same 😂 2y
megnews I don‘t mind it unless it seems forced and unnatural. I‘m glad you mentioned about how she wrote in the ADHD. My son has adhd and I‘ve often wondered what thinking is like for him. Stacked for that reason. 2y

TheBookKeepers @megnews my son does too and also why I picked this one up! ❤️ it kicks off with college move in day, so this one is upper YA. So far it‘s hilarious 🤣 2y
TheBookHippie Doesn‘t bother me at all 🤷🏻♀️ I am like @TrishB … also F#*% is my favorite word. 2y
TheBookKeepers Hahaha I love it @TheBookHippie 2y
BiblioLitten Doesn‘t bother me. Sometimes that‘s the ONLY word which can truly express the meaning. Any context. 2y
Darklunarose Doesn‘t bother me at all. Words are words and they can help express things. 2y
rwmg It depends how much swearing there is. If there is too much (and how much iis too much varies a lot), it just gets boring, much as in in real life. But I prefer the swearing to be spelt out in full rather than with asterisks. 2y
TheBookKeepers @BiblioLitten that is so true!! 2y
TheBookKeepers @Darklunarose exactly! 2y
TheBookKeepers @rwmg I agree if you‘re going to do it don‘t use asterisks. This was was the right amount and felt authentic to the characters 2y
