pickMy Icelandic library is geowing bit by bit. And this non-fiction book is definitely worth to be added to it. This was a fun read about important historical moments in time in which Iceland actually - and unknown to most - did play a role in word politics. I was laughing out loud a lot.
… but the most popular „facts“ (about Iceland) came back like zombies: two books (…) claim, respectively, that ICELANDERS LIVE UP TO 150 TO 300 YEARS - because pure climate, of course. Which I‘d say is fair reasoning: THE HUMAN BODY IS ORGANIC, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT VEGETABLES AND ORGANIC THINGS LAST LONGER IN THE FRIDGE. 🤣🤣🤣
When this book starts like this, it must be good! 😂😂😂
8pm is too late for me to drink anything but water. :) My son was under the weather and asleep already so my daughter and I dug into this book. We both learned a lot about Iceland when we were housebound during the pandemic so one of my older kids bought me this when he was visiting Venice (California). #hyggehour

pickThis was a fun, well narrated pop history book about Iceland. I liked that it focused on a few individual events and people that were illustrative of larger points and didn‘t try to be a comprehensive history of Iceland for all time in an 8-hour #audiobook. 👍🏻🇮🇸
