❄️I‘m going to use the #winterreadathon to finish my Goodreads goal for the year.
❄️❄️We went to California for my grandmother‘s 100th birthday party in December 2010, and we stayed several more days to spend Christmas there.

I started the Silver Springs series with this book, which is the 7th. When I continue, I‘ll start from the beginning and read in order. The story is good and I liked the characters, but I feel like I missed some things by not knowing the other characters‘ backstories. Most of the characters are part of a huge family.
I got this from NetGalley before Christmas but am just getting to it now. Thanks to Harlequin for the review copy!! #JoyousJanuary
“Dallas Turner figured he shouldn‘t be surprised when he walked into his mother‘s house to find someone who wasn‘t part of the family in her kitchen.”
(Yes, I‘m still reading Christmas books. 🤷🏼♀️)

This was a good read, but it was heavier than what I really want out of a Christmas romance. Both characters had some trauma that would have been better suited to being treated by therapists, but I guess good sex is a more holistic approach to healing? #WinterGames2020 #MerryReaders @Clwojick #HolidayRead
Yesterday was a good reading day... although I didn't love the two books I finished. I have book club this morning (virtually, naturally), and then I need to read some more! #WinterGames2020 #MerryReaders @Clwojick 881pts
Up early to finish the only book I managed this week under my warm Christmas tree and old trucks blanket (which I actually use all year round). Lovely book-nothing too earth shattering but a great continuation of a lovely series. Letting go of the past/finding love. #WinterGames2020 116 points total for #TeamReadNosedReindeer @StayCurious
Turns out I don‘t own many Christmas books in print but I‘m apparently a sucker for downloading them. Here‘s my always subject to change #DecemberTBR #TeamReadNosedReindeer #WinterGames2020 (and 25 point for this post!) @StayCurious (Not pictured—team reads because I haven‘t gotten them yet!)
A California Christmas is Novak's seventh book in the Silver Springs series. As time draws near for Aiyana's wedding & Christmas, Ayiana's son Dallas, a professional walk climber comes home for the events. Rising TV anchor Emery heads back to her hometown of Silver springs after her ex releases a humiliating sex tape stopping her career in its tracks. What starts as a romance quickly develops into a mystery/family drama with several subplots(cont)
This book started out as a romance, so I wasn‘t expecting much. But I should have known better – after all, it is a Brenda Novak story. When I realized there was a mystery involved in the story, my interest was piqued. I was much more interested in the mystery than the romance.
