Fern sees a news story about a missing woman and realizes that she knows her but can't remember how. What follows is Fern trying to get through her repressed memories and a slew of nominations for worst parents ever.

so-soFern Douglas returns home to help her father pack up his house for a move to Florida and the visit unlocks some long-buried memories. Easy to read but sort of annoying. I liked her book The Winter Sister better.

pickThis novel about repressed memories and trauma was creepy and definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. Please be aware that if you have ever been in a relationship with a narcissist, you will probably be triggered.

pickI‘m a sucker for a good kidnapping story and this was no exception. Some of the twists were a smidge unbelievable, but sort of in the way that horrible things always seem to be beyond the realm of possibility. I was hooked from the first page to the last. And the descriptions of anxiety? Spot on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #netgalley
This is one of the rare times I‘ve read and reviewed a #Netgalley book before its pub date! 😂
pickAnother great thriller! Fern goes back to her childhood home to help her dad pack up to move. As shes there, Astrid, a child kidnapped twenty years earlier, goes missing again and Fern is determined to figure out why she knows her. Once again my gut feeling was right all along but there were still some great twists and turns.

pickI know you all love a good psychological thriller. You should read this one. I couldn't put it down. I felt compelled to find out what was going on.
A woman who was kidnapped 20 years ago disappears. When Fern sees her on the news she knows that she's seen her before. When the girl's face appears in her recurring nightmares, Fern decides to unravel the mystery. Why does she know her?
