Today‘s finished Cream of Mushroom Soup. The second soup I‘ve made from this book & just as delicious as her Creamy Chickpea Bow Tie Soup because Isa Chandra Moskowitz is a GODDESS of vegan cooking! (I‘d have made more things but so many cookbooks, so little time!) Rich, velvety & full of umami & flavor & perfect for winter. The link to my blog post with the recipe is below.👇🏻

KVanRead Ooh I‘ve got to try making this! 3y

Mushroom and white bean scampi. Vegan and gluten-free dinner courtesy of my teenager and the tagged book. Next time we'll increase the mushrooms by 50% (we really like mushrooms).

Megabooks Mushrooms, gluten free!! Yum!! 4y
litenthusiast Looks delicious. Do you like that cookbook? I keep having it suggested to me, but haven't purchased it yet. 4y
ImperfectCJ @litenthusiast I do like the book so far. We've made three recipes from it so far and have really liked them all. We have the dessert books she wrote with Terry Hope Romero, too. I absolutely love... 4y

Y‘all. I love Isa. I love her so much I‘m on a first name basis with her and we‘ve never even met. 😂
I bought this cookbook as Xmas present to myself and I finally got a chance to read.
While I‘m not a fan of the design/fonts - I really like that this cookbook takes things back to the basics - good food done right.
The recipes start out simple and get more complex as the chapters progress. Great for newbie cooks/vegans.
I just love it. 😋

TheBookAddict sounds fun! Do you have some favorite recipes from this book? Would like to see them, if you don't mind posting some. 😊 4y
Eyelit @TheBookAddict I can see some future posts with recipes from the book, for sure. I‘ll start trying them out this weekend hopefully 😃 I‘ve just tagged all the ones I want to try so far 4y
TheBookAddict @Eyelit awesome! I hope you find some delicious ones. 🙂 👍 4y

Even though I‘ve just cooked the Creamy Chickpea Bow Tie Soup (so far) from this book, I‘m going to go ahead & give it a pick because...well...it‘s Isa Chandra Moskowitz. Whether new cook, new vegan, wanting to eat more veg-friendly or like me, just want good food on the table quickly, this book has something to offer. The soup is rich, delicious & easy to make. I‘ll be using this cookbook, part of #abramsdinnerparty, A LOT. Recipe/review link👇🏻

DebinHawaii Link to a yummy vegan soup with a “ pot pie vibe” & my review are here: http://kahakaikitchen.blogspot.com/2019/10/creamy-chickpea-bow-tie-soup-from-i-c... 5y

You don‘t have to be vegan or even vegetarian to find a ton of good recipes in this book. I was surprised by the number I want to try. Highly recommended.
