#aprilbookshowers I had a good reading month, finishing 7 books. My TBR for the month was 7, but I only finished three of those. Two others are #currentreads. The Wiregrass wasn't on my original list for April, but it was hands down #bestofApril. Now to plan for next month's reading and contemplate the beauty of our blooming frangipani. I miss daffodils and tulips, but I love the spring flowers we do have.

Pickpick

OMG! One of the best and most moving books I've read in a long time. It was hard to read the last couple chapters, because I was crying so hard. A coming of age tale set in the South in the late 60's, at times it reminded me of To Kill a Mockingbird. Because of those similarities, the opening felt derivative, and I almost bailed. What a loss that would have been. #LetterW #LitsyAtoZ

I'm 10% of the way through this, according to my Kindle, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but I'm enjoying the drawings that illustrate it. They remind me of the Little House books.

rubyslippersreads That's the first thing I thought of too. 7y

#aprilbookshowers Neither my husband nor I read in bed, so there is generally nothing #onthenightstand. However, because hubby has an ongoing orthopedic problem, some nights I'll sleep in the guest room so that we can both get a decent night's sleep. On those nights, I often read on my Kindle for a bit. This is my current Kindle read, but I'm reserving judgment at this point.

Karkar I love your cover! 7y
